A breadboard end caps each short side, locked with a sliding dovetail key, the small bowtie joint visible at the corner. It holds the board flat and lets the wood move with the seasons without splitting, the same joinery the collection uses on its larger pieces, brought to the kitchen.
There is no hardware. The dovetail key is the only mechanism holding each end in place.
The end caps stand slightly proud, lifting the board off the counter and giving it somewhere to be held. Made in four sizes, from a small everyday board to a long serving board.
Made to order. Wood is a natural material, so grain and colour may vary, making each piece one of a kind.
